By using buyastar.eu or making a purchase, the user fully accepts these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.

1. Nature of the service

buyastar.eu offers symbolic star dedications with the issuance of personalised digital certificates. The service is exclusively symbolic and celebratory in nature: it does not grant any legal, proprietary or astronomical title to any star. The registered names are not recognised by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) or by any scientific or governmental authority.

2. Gifts and prices

Prices include VAT where applicable. Constellation choice is available only for the Deluxe Star. Certificates are in English; other languages are in development. No physical fulfilment or postal shipping is offered.

3. Order and contract

The contract is concluded upon confirmation of payment. The user is responsible for the accuracy of the data entered (star name, dedication and email address).

4. Right of withdrawal and refunds

Digital content: pursuant to Art. 59(1)(o) of Italian Legislative Decree 206/2005 and Art. 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU, the right of withdrawal does not apply to the digital certificate once it has been delivered. Before purchase, the user provides express consent to immediate execution and acknowledges the loss of the right of withdrawal.

Full refund guaranteed (including the digital component) in case of: failure to deliver the certificate due to the Owner, corrupted or non-compliant file, double charge. Request within 14 days at dream@buyastar.eu with the order number.

If the digital certificate is not received within 60 minutes, contact dream@buyastar.eu before initiating any dispute.

5. Intellectual property

All content on the site is owned by the Owner. The purchase grants a personal, non-exclusive, non-commercial licence over the certificate received.

6. Liability

The site is provided "as is". The Owner is not liable for indirect or consequential damages to the extent permitted by law. The mandatory rights of the consumer (Italian Legislative Decree 206/2005) remain unaffected.

7. Applicable law and jurisdiction

Italian law and EU law apply (Directive 2011/83/EU, GDPR). Competent court: Court of Syracuse, unless otherwise provided by mandatory consumer-protection rules.

8. Consumer rights

As a consumer resident in the European Union, you are protected by mandatory rights under EU consumer law — in particular Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights, Directive (EU) 2019/770 on digital content and services, and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). In particular you have the right to:

• receive clear, accurate and pre-contractual information about the product, its price and the identity of the Owner before completing your purchase;
• a 14-day right of withdrawal on distance contracts — with the express exception of digital content whose execution has begun with your prior consent, as set out in section 4 above;
• a full refund where the digital certificate cannot be delivered, is corrupted, non-compliant, or in the event of a duplicate charge;
• a legal guarantee of conformity on the digital content supplied, pursuant to Directive (EU) 2019/770;
• protection of your personal data in accordance with the GDPR (Regulation EU 2016/679) — see our Privacy Policy;
• access to out-of-court dispute resolution through the European ODR platform linked above.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any right granted to you as a consumer by mandatory law.
